MacMillan takes on Chris Conwell at the University of Bolton Stadium in what will be one of the biggest fights of his career so far, and the Morecambe man believes that he is now ready to step up and target titles.

Speaking ahead of the fight, MacMillan said: “It will be my toughest test since the early defeat in my career which was too much of a step up after only four fights, but now I’m ready for this and looking forward to keeping the unbeaten run going.

“I’m more than ready for it, it’s a great opportunity for me.”

When asked what fighting for a title would mean to him, Reece added: “It would be massive for me, I’ve always dreamed of winning titles in the professional game since I was a kid.

“It’s a big step in the right direction and it will open a lot of doors for me in the future.”

However, MacMillan refuses to look too far ahead and is fully focused on Conwell on Saturday night.

He added: “I’ve always wanted to win the British title and I’m always going to aim higher, but I’m enjoying the journey just taking each fight as it comes.”

MacMillan’s record currently stands at 11-1 with one knockout to his name, and was last in action back in December when he comfortably beat Naheem Chaudhry on points in a four rounder in Bolton.
