A district boxer will look to make it a hat-trick of professional victories on a show in Bolton this weekend.

Bentham light-heavyweight Tomi Tatham will be part of the VIP Promotions card at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday, March 9.

“TNT”, as he is known, has won his first two fights as a professional and will be on the undercard of Blackpool’s Jack Arnfield’s British Masters light-middleweight title clash against Gary Boulden.

He is unphased by the task in hand despite his first opponent pulling out on Monday evening.

The 23-year-old said: “We’ve got a replacement and it doesn’t really bother me because I’m in good shape.

“If anything it winds me up a bit.

“I’m pretty much at weight for the original fight but will have to be a bit lighter for the new opponent and have got to drop a couple of pounds which is going to be tough.”

The Bentham fighter won his first two fights inside the scheduled distance, but isn’t necessarily looking to wrap things up quickly on Saturday.

The former Skerton ABC man said: “I’m feeling good.

“Training has gone well and I’ve had some good sparring.

“I was pretty happy with my last performance, (a third round knockout of Elvis Dube in December) and I’m just going to go in there and try and box and use the new stuff I’ve learnt.

“I’m not looking for a knockout but if it comes, it comes.”

Tickets, priced £30 (general) and £50 ringside are available from the boxers or
