Good news for the residents of the redevelopment at the Moor Hospital site with the news that the first residents will be able to take advantage of the development’s own travel plan.
Hopefully the contribution of £500,000 will extend into the wider community.
I note the 20mph road safety scheme in the East Road area is also to be provided, near Lancaster Grammar School.
There is already a 20mph limit, with lots of red tarmac in position.
The pupils and members of staff regularly run the gauntlet (several times per day).
Given the increase in traffic and apparently cyclists using East Road, they deserve and need a safe crossing. Now’s the chance. Don’t miss this golden opportunity.
