It was a good report and photographs in The Visitor recently of the pub at Snatchems, the Golden Ball.
We have visited it over the past 60 years. Steve, the present landlord, is doing a marvellous job and spending a lot of money on the building,
outside and inside. He is the best landlord ever and he and his family work so hard to welcome everyone, and his restaurant is excellent.
All his staff are very cheerful and work hard for Steve. Steve is generous to his regular customers by giving out gifts for their birthdays and Christmas.
At the weekends he gives them sandwiches after the restaurant is closed and also cooked sausages, chips and bread and butter to make a chip butty. He deserves the custom he gets.
It was a pity to read the man who had taken his family for a meal thought the meals were “pricey”. It depends what you want to pay and you can have children’s portions if you so wish.
He will try and give you what you want and yes, as we get older, we need smaller portions so why not ask for a child’s portion?
Good luck Steve and your family, we will keep supporting you. A nice place to visit.
