Women to put best foot forward for Race for Life this weekend
Mums, daughters, grannies, sisters, friends and workmates are taking part in the 5k women-only event at Lancaster University.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, in partnership with Tesco, is an inspiring series of events which raises millions of pounds every year bringing forward the day when all cancers are cured.

This year, the charity hopes the women who have entered will hit a fundraising target of £50,000.
By raising money through Race for Life, people in the city are helping Cancer Research UK’s doctors, nurses and scientists make advances in research which will help more men, women and children survive.
Jennifer added: “Race for Life is not competitive and it’s not about being fit or fast. You can walk, jog, or run around the course if you like.
“Because these events are all about the feel-good factor that comes from being part of the ‘pink army’ as thousands of women come together to defeat cancer.”
