Woman rescued from incoming tide near Bolton-le-Sands

A woman was rescued by the inshore lifeboat after being cut off by the incoming tide at Bolton-le-Sands.

The RNLI’s inshore lifeboat attended the scene at the bottom of Mill Lane, and sent a hovercraft crew out to rescue the woman, who was clutching her dog while standing up to her waist in water.

She was transferred to the shore and taken to hospital. She was not thought to be seriously harmed.
