Witness appeal following fail to stop collision in Lancaster

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop after it hit a pedestrian.

The incident happened at 4am on Thursday August 13 on the northbound carriageway of South Road (A6).

A 31 year old man stepped out into the road when he is believed to have been clipped by what is thought to be a black Vauxhall Corsa which failed to stop.

The man suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.

PC Martin Wilcock of the Road Policing Unit said: “We are trying to trace the vehicle that is thought to be involved in this collision and I would urge anyone who may have any information that could help us to get in touch.”
