A competition to find the campest dog and a Ferrero Rocher-eating world record attempt will be held in a North Yorkshire village.

Both contests will be part of a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride event in Austwick this Saturday.

The debut LGBT ‘Pink Picnic Pride’ will be held at Harden Cottage at the village near Settle.

It will include a dog show where other titles up for grabs include Best Dog Biscuit Catcher and Best Dog with a Waggle Walk.

The world record for eating the most Ferrero Rocher chocolates in a minute currently stands at nine.

The event is being held to raise money for a defibrillator to be located outside the village hall.

A bouncy castle, live music, face painting and much more will also be on offer. It runs from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

Tickets £3 for adults (children under 14 free) available from Crossleigh Store, Highfield on 01524 251354 or 07721 663421 or the Game Cock Inn.
