The region’s first “drive-thru” fish and chip shop has now officially opened.

The brand new £1m. Banny’s Restaurant has opened in Burnley’s historic Weavers’ Triangle regeneration area, on the site of the former Dexter Paints factory, in Trafalgar Street, in a brand new £1m. building, close to a number of other fast food outlets such as McDonald’s and KFC.

Banny’s is already a popular food chain, well-known in the region thanks to its restaurant in Colne on the site of Boundary Mill, at the end of the M65.

It is the latest in the £100m “On the Banks” development of the historic quarter along the Leeds Liverpool Canal which is being developed for business, living, leisure and education.
