Soul man Paul Akister chats to the Visitor after his huge reception at Morecambe Carnival.
The Lancaster singer also made plenty of time for his fans before he was due to go on the Bay stage on Sunday at 7pm.
Paul was also reunited with eight-piece boy band Stereo Kicks as they reminisced over their time on TV talent show The X Factor. After experiencing a technical fault at the start of his performance, Paul killed time by trying to spot his mum Bev and other family members in the huge crowd.
He then sung ‘Say Something’, James Bay’s ‘Hold Back the River’ and Nick Jonas’s ‘Jealous.’
Speaking to The Visitor after his performance, Paul said: “It’s always an awesome crowd here, it’s massive as well. It’s amazing to perform for my hometown they have supported me and it’s great to give something back.”
Paul also revealed he is due to release material at the end of the year on his new website paulakistermusic.com.
