JWK Solicitors hosted a half marathon and two mile run along Morecambe prom at the weekend to raise money for children’s charity Unique Kidz and Co.

Sandi Haythornthwaite from JWK said: “We would like to thank everyone who braved the wind and came out to take part in the two events, as well as the JWK staff and Unique Kidz supporters who volunteered to marshal the runners throughout the race. There was a great atmosphere at the event, with runners from the age of two to 82 being cheered on as they passed the finish line on Morecambe’s Stone Jetty.”

Ellen Smith from Unique Kidz said: “Everyone had an amazing time on Sunday and I can’t believe I managed to complete the race!

“Events like this are a great way to introduce our charity to more people and promote the services we offer.

“Supporters travelled from as far away as Bolton and we were delighted to welcome a team from Kirkham Open Prison.”

JWK sponsor both the Morecambe and Lancaster Half Marathons which are arranged by Billy Gardner and Lancaster Race Series.
