Northern DalesBus from Lancaster returns for Scenic Summer Sundays

Northern DalesBus 830 connecting Lancaster to the Yorkshire Dales returns for the 2021 season travelling via Hornby, Wray and Bentham to Ingleton, Ribblehead and Hawes, before climbing over the Buttertubs Pass into Swaledale and on to Richmond.

With unspoilt wilderness, wildflower meadows, heather moorland, waterfalls, classic views of the Three Peaks including the Ribblehead viaduct, and opportunities to visit Wensleydale Creamery, explore the Dales lead mining heritage, as well as shops, pubs and cafes along the route - there is something for everyone to see and do.

The service will run every Sunday from May 16 until October 17 2021 departing Preston Bus Station at 0820, Lancaster Bus Station at 0910, Ingleton at 1005, Ribblehead at 1030, Hawes at 1100, Reeth at 1145 and arriving in Richmond at 1215.

The return from Richmond at 1620 and Hawes at 1740 arrives back at Lancaster Bus Station at 1900 and Preston Bus Station at 1950.

Dales Rover tickets offer a day’s unlimited Sunday and Bank Holiday travel - £10 for Adults and £18 for Groups (up to 2 Adults and 3 Children traveling together).

Elderly and disabled concessionary bus passes are not valid for free travel on Northern DalesBus 830, however passholders may purchase a £5 Dales Privilege Rover for a day’s travel.
