Lancaster man jailed for three years for possession with intent to supply £2,550 of heroin and crack cocaine

Anthony Gilmartin, 32, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court after pleading guilty to offences of possession with intent to supply heroin/crack cocaine and possession of an offensive weapon.

Gilmartin was detained by officers on March 16 on the canal tow path near Quarry Road.

He was found in possession of a quantity of the class A drugs and a knife.

A search of his home address located a further quantity of drugs.

The total street value of drugs seized in the case was £2,550.

Gilmartin was sentenced to 36 months in prison on September 16 after being on remand since charges were brought back in March.
