Defying Dementia, based at Lancaster University, will take part in the campaign on December 1, which is a celebration of the work undertaken by thousands of charities across the UK.

It aims to help raise awareness of pioneering research, acknowledge the work of volunteers and to generate support for the vital work that they are doing every day.

In a year when Defying Dementia celebrated its fifth anniversary, Giving Tuesday will showcase the groundbreaking research being undertaken by the team at Lancaster University.

The researchers have recently returned to their laboratories following the Coronavirus lockdown and say they are determined to make up for the time lost over the summer months.
