The trio - featuring vocalist Evie Plumb from Kendal, and Jamie Walker and Luke Paget from Lancaster - have also collaborated with dance music producer High Contrast on a new track called Rhythm is Changing.

Their work with Camelphat has seen Lowes feature on two songs - Easier and Wildfire - from the artist's new album Dark Matter.

Dark Matter also features collaborations with Noel Gallagher, Foals and Jake Bugg.

Lowes, who were signed to Sony Records back in 2017, released their first EP in the summer of 2018, and have since had a two year hiatus, during which time they explored new genres and styles of music, writing and producing nearly every day, and working hard to create a varied catalogue of songs for themselves and other artists.

Luke Paget said: "We've been writing songs nearly every day, so by last year we'd amassed a huge catalogue of songs.

"Some that will be future Lowes releases and some that could work for other artists.

"Our label and management started sending our music around to different artists and amazingly lots of them started coming back to us wanting to collaborate.

So we went into the studio with Camelphat and wrote the song 'Wildfire' that appears on the album.

"Then Evie sang on another track they had called 'Easier' and that then got picked as the lead single from the album, which we were over the moon about."

Lowes also went into the studio with High Contrast at the start of 2020 and wrote two songs with him, one of which - Rhythm is Changing - has been released as a single.

It became radio DJ Annie Mac's Hottest Record in the World on its release day.

All of the songs can be found on Spotify.

The band said that this style of dance music is different to their earlier roots of folky, dark indie pop, but they are excited and enthused by the unexplored territory of dance music and see the dance world as "a new realm in which to write and collaborate", and inject some energy into their music.
