Traffic diversions are in place on Lancaster’s one way system after a lorry became stuck trying to negotiate a corner.
Police said the HGV became trapped on Market Street at 2.35pm today, Wednesday.
A diversion is in place on Common Garden Street in the city.
Traffic is currently backing up and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
Bus providers Stagecoach say no buses are running in the city centre.
Those that start at Lancaster University will be terminating at the Bowerham Hotel.
