M6 lane closure between Preston and Lancaster after tyre bursts on lorry

A lane has been closed on the northbound M6 between Preston and Lancaster this morning (Thursday, August 20).

Lane 1 has been closed between J32 (M55, Broughton Interchange) and J33 (A6 Preston Lancaster Road, Lancaster South/Garstang) since 9.30am.

The lane closure is to allow a fitter to safely change a burst offside tyre on a lorry.

Traffic Officers and recovery are currently at the scene, but traffic is coping well.

Highways said it expects the lane closure to remain in place until around 10.30am.
