There are also delays on the A590 westbound, between the junctions with the M6 and the A591, due to a crash near the South Lakeland village of Crooklands.

One lane (of two) remains closed and there is queueing traffic due to recovery work after two vehicles were involved in the crash.

Police are putting in short traffic holds on occasion, as there has been multiple stop starts through this morning.
