PUBLIC exhibitions detailing proposed changes to the £123m Heysham-M6 link road scheme have been organised by highways chiefs.
Lancashire County Council must lodge a new planning application with the independent Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC) after announcing changes to the scheme to help lower the original £139m cost, after public spending cuts.
The application could delay building of the road by nine months and means the proposals could yet be thrown out.
The exhibitions are part of public consultation required under the planning process.
