The next full closure of Torrisholme Road will now be on Saturday, October 17 from 6am to Monday, October 19 at 5am.

The road is due to be closed every Saturday from then until and including November 21.

It will also be closed on Sunday, October 25 until 5am on Monday, October 26.

Access to homes and a pedestrian through-route will remain open on Torrisholme Road, Barley Cop Lane and Russell Drive throughout the closures.

A spokesman for road builders Costain said the reason for the cancellation was because they were not in a position to install the temporary works needed on the bridge deck itself.
