Among the items stolen in the raid was some organic toothpaste, tortilla wraps, and a small amount of cash.

A vehicle was used to pull security bars from the front door of Growing with Grace in Station Road overnight on Wednesday, July 25.

The force pulled away part of the shop’s front wall.

Ellie Parker, who co-runs the shop, said: “We’ve lost some of the shop stock, cash, some inexpensive power tools.

“There was a box of random things that they took.

“There was some organic toothpaste, tortilla wraps, compostible bin bags, a jar of jam. It’s upsetting they targetted a community owned business.

“We’re part of our local community and we exist to try and do something good in the world, and it’s depressing that we get targetted like this.”

North Yorkshire Police have been informed about the break-in.
