A Lancaster photographer celebrates thirty years behind the lens with an exhibition and talk at Lancaster Library.
Steve Pendrill has spent most of his career as a press photographer, leaving newspapers in 2009 to focus on his freelance business.
For twenty years he worked on Lancaster & Morecambe Newspapers, and his exhibition entitled 30 Years Behind The Lens; Press Photographer & Beyond, brings to life three decades of press photos as well as recent examples of recent wedding, portrait and corporate work.
As a fun twist, Steve will don his 1950’s press photographer mac, trilby and vintage camera for his talk, and visitors will hear the quirky stories behind the pictures and learn how the industry has changed.
Steve said: “I can’t believe it’s been 30 years.
“I am really looking forward to sharing my experiences through my unique exhibition and talk.
“I’m sure it will raise some eyebrows and smiles.”
Steve’s exhibition runs from 28th October to November 12, with the talk at 6.30pm on Wednesday 6th November, at The Sanctuary at Lancaster Library. Both are free and everyone is welcome.
