Mohammed Zafar crashed a car into a police vehicle after travelling the wrong way on the M65. Two officers in the police car. One suffered a broken wrist in the collision and the other suffered neck and back pain as a result. Lee Scott was jailed for numerous shoplifting offences in Burnley. Scott, 33, of Melrose Avenue, Burnley, was charged with 19 shoplifting offences and six breaches of bail. On October 23, Scott appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to four months in prison. | Lancashire Police
Officers discovered a large quantity of cocaine, estimated to be worth around £24,000, following a raid at an address in Ormerod Street in September. Naeem Iqbal, 28, of Ormerod Street, was sentenced to 40 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. | Lancashire Police
