Team clean up for More Music

A group of young adults revamped the outside space at More Music in the West End of Morecambe as part of the Prince's Trust Team programme run by Lancashire Fire and Rescue service.

The work was carried out with the hope that it would benefit the wider community and make it look tidy and presentable as the facility is used by young people.

The team wood stained benches and removed all of the weeds from the outside area.

Thanks to a generous donation from Lancaster City Council they were able to put wood chippings down to stop the weeds growing back, plant some brightly coloured plants and paint the existing planters to enhance the look of the area.

Wickes generously donated wooden pallets and linings from which the team were able to build a raised flower bed to plant more of the flowers.

The staff and volunteers from More Music were delighted with the work that had been completed.

Assistant Project manager Matt Prior said: “The project was very enjoyable to do and I have learnt plenty of things I did not know before I started and feel we all worked well as a team.”
