Takeaway boss pleads guilty before trial

Two men have pleaded guilty to numerous counts of breaching immigration law before they faced trial at Preston Crown Court.

On Friday March 24, Zubeir Yakub Mister, 40, of Standen Park House, Lancaster, owner of Nice & Spicy takeaways in Morecambe and Lancaster, pleaded guilty to seven counts of breaching immigration lawby allowing people to work illegally at his takeaways.

Christopher Donaldson, 30, of Greenfinch Way, Heysham, pleaded guilty to 14 counts of breaching immigration law.

A co-defendant, Ian Dewhirst, 31, of Whitmoor Close, Morecambe, pleaded not guilty to breaching immigration law and arranging travel for a man intending to exploit him.

No evidence was offered in his case and it has been disposed of.

Mister and Donaldson will be sentenced on May 5.
