THIS was the scene on Meadowside in Lancaster after strong winds blew a tree onto a parked car.
Guardian reader Steven Jura took the photograph following the incident just after noon last Thursday.
Fortunately, the car, which had a “guest” parking card displayed in the window, avoided serious damage.
Council staff were called to remove the fallen tree.
Elsewhere last Thursday, the winds forced Lancashire County Council to close off a walkway close to Harper’s Mill at the White Cross Industrial Estate, which is owned by the council.
