Specialist task force set up as climate change is blamed for the 'increased size, frequency, and severity' of wildfires in Lancashire

The climate crisis has been blamed on the rising number - and severity - of wildfires in Lancashire, with a new specialist task force set up to combat them.

The team will have a range of vehicles and expert kit at its disposal, and hopes to prevent another blaze on the scale of the Winter Hill inferno last summer.
