Snapshots of the 1920s

Reader David Chapman found some old negatives while going through some of his parents belongings.

He said: “The photographs were from the time of my grandparents Fred Woodhouse and Phyllis Woodburn’s wedding in the early 1920s.

“The other photos in the batch seem to be more informal around the time of the wedding.

“The majority were just taken in the back streets of Morecambe so there isn’t anything to identify the location.

“Some of them, will be from around the Bare/Torrisholme area where the Woodhouse family were from.

“There are a couple taken in Blackpool as well.”
