A ‘brilliant day’ was had by all at the Lunesdale Agricultural Show on Tuesday.
Held at Underley Park, Kirkby Lonsdale, good weather meant visitor numbers were up on last year.
A feast of countryside treats and a celebration of rural Lune Valley life was on offer with classes for horses, sheep, cattle and dogs along with trade stands and children’s activities.
Show secretary Gill Gibbs said: “We had an absolutely brilliant day. It went very well indeed.
“We had good weather, which always helps.
“We were up in most of the sections with entries. We had lots of horses, more sheep than we’ve ever had, more poultry, good entries in the dog section and in the home industries.
“We didn’t have quite as many cattle as we normally do, but they were still excellent quality.
“Visitor numbers were well up. The showfield was very busy.”
