Morecambe Football’s lottery manager Colin Wild has gone from “the lazy guy at work” to a nutritional health guru.
The 44-year-old decided enough was enough and shifted nearly seven stone in a year.
Colin, who is the Head of Lotteries at Morecambe Football Club, has lost six and a half stone, 20 per cent body fat and 10 inches off his chest and waist during his year long journey.
“I was the lazy guy at work, and I am not ashamed to admit that, I was very lazy, so the first thing I focused on was my energy,” said Colin.
Colin started as a client and then a distributor with Herbalife, a nutrition company which promotes a healthier lifestyle through, in January 2015 whilst awaiting knee surgery.
Because of his weak knees Colin is unable to go to a gym or do any heavy activity. To overcome this he transformed his living room into his own studio, using a static exercise bike in front of the television.
Colin said: “I’ve done a bit more walking which has helped me lose the seven-eight stone of body fat. I use a static bike at home whilst I’m watching Match of the Day or catching up on Coronation Street, it’s great!”
Colin now inspires others to try Herbalife and has walked away with the regional “Level 10” award for members and is through to the national finals in July.
The competition has four winners per year from eight regions across the country, Colin is representing the North West and can win £4,000 for the member category if successful.
Colin said: “The Level 10 is about body transformation. For me it helped focus on what I wanted to achieve personally and with my own personalised plan I achieved my goals.
“We use scales that measure not only weight but body fat, body water, muscle mass, metabolic age, how many calories your body burns “at rest” per day and also the hidden fat known as visceral fat.
“I have seen others win in the past with muscle increase.”
Colin is over the moon to be recognised and hopes to continue to inspire others.
