Two of Shakespeare’s most popular plays will be staged at a historic Carnforth venue this summer.

The Festival Players will mark their 30th year of touring by stopping at Leighton Hall in June and July for a double bill of the Bard.

Henry IV and As You Like It will be performed alfresco in Leighton’s stunning gardens.

Supporters of Shakespeare and devotees of drama will be treated to a free ticket for As You Like It, if they come along to Henry IV on June 25.

Suzie Reynolds, owner of Leighton Hall, said: “The Festival Players perform here every year and never disappoint.

“It’s a perfect summer’s evening of entertainment”.

Rain or shine, the show starts at 7.30pm but Leighton’s grounds open at 6pm and visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics.

Please bring own seating and warm clothes. Grounds open from 6pm for picnics, performance starts at 7.30pm.
