Seed merchants’ Chelsea success

A LANCASHIRE seed merchant has won a silver flora prize at the Chelsea Flower Show.

W Robinson & Son (Seeds & Plants) Ltd, based on the A6 near Forton, and best known for its mammoth onions, exhibited in the floral pavilion, and also supplied all the vegetables for the sponsors’ M&G Garden, created by top designer Bunny Guinness.

Owner Margaret Robinson said she was very happy with the silver flora, equivalent to a second prize at the show, the country’s top horticultural event.
