School For Stage marks first anniversary

It’s little more than a year ago that MP Nigel Evens said that “School For Stage will be an asset to the community” when he opened the new facility in Longridge.

“And it would seem he wasn’t half wrong!” says founder and principal, Kieren Spencer, as he celebrated the school’s first birthday with students at its re-opening after the summer break.

He thought it fitting to base the session on a party theme, so singing class students had fun learning the lyrics to Disney’s Alice In Wonderland with ‘A Very Merry Unbirthday To You’ and ‘It’s My Party,’ while in acting the youngsters devised a drama performance based on the title ‘the birthday party.’

Kieren said, ‘I really wanted to do something to celebrate our anniversary with the children who enjoy our classes because, after all, it is the students that make School For Stage. There was a real buzz about the place and I couldn’t help but feel proud that another reason for the celebrations is because we have passed a major milestone in business terms.”

Looking forward to what the next year brings, Kieren said it was not too late to enrol children in classes via the website, calling him on 0765711889 or e-mail [email protected]. Classes are held on Saturdays at Longridge High School from 9am to 10.30am.
