Owner of Heaton Hair, Tina Berry has praised Jo & Cass for their support.

She said: “Straight away Jo & Cass offered us some space, we were blown away by their generosity. We should be in competition but we are not, we are a community working together.

“We came here on December 19 and have been here ever since. It has been quite difficult for them because they don’t know how long we will be here for.

“I would like to say a massive thank you, they didn’t have to do this for us but they welcomed us with open arms and we are so grateful.”

Heaton Hair was hit by three foot of water during the flooding which devastated the centre of Lancaster.

The team of five stylists got the call their workplace was destroyed during their Christmas staff night out and had to cancel all Christmas bookings.

Tina said: “I knew it had gone. The salon was devastated just like the rest of Chapel Street, it came up through the drains and filled the whole lower area of Lancaster.

“The water came up through the floor inside and we couldn’t physically get to our building until Sunday morning, it was just a scene of devastation. Everything was gone.”

The team at Heaton Hair are currently looking for a stylist, get in touch on 01524 849910.
