Royal knees-up at Wray Scarecrow Festival

A RIGHT royal knees-up is being promised by organisers of this year’s Wray Scarecrow Festival.

The festivities, which run from Easter Saturday, April 23, until May 2, encompass the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday, April 29.

Many villagers will be creating scarecrows in honour of the occasion, after organisers designated royalty past and present as one of the themes.

The other theme, although topical, is in stark contrast to that – austerity measures.
