A secion of Torrisholme Road will also be closed on Sundays and Mondays October 11 and 12, October 18 and 19, and October 25 and 26.

The road will be closed from Russell Drive to Barley Cop Lane. Access to homes and a pedestrian through-route will remain open on Torrisholme Road, Barley Cop Lane and Russell Drive throughout the closures.

Richard Helme, construction manager for road builders Costain, said: “The closures are essential for us to carry out the work safely and avoid any risk to live traffic. We’ve planned the activities and consequent closures to be carried out at weekends rather than weekdays to minimise disruption to local traffic as much as possible.

“We will do our best to remove each closure as soon as the activity is complete.”
