Riverdance forerunner for Settle

Settle is to be a new venue in this famous Irish dance and music spectacular the show predates 'Riverdance' by twenty years.

The Echoes of Erin group, travelling from Ireland, have just completed a tour of America.

From its beginnings in the 1970s, this will be the 43rd annual tour to Britain.

This is the first visit to the Lancashire region. This fast-moving show merges the most soulful of detailed artistry with lighter ensemble music while dancers will step it out to a wide variety of rhythms, along with traditional songs of Ireland.

Featured are 14 artists many of whom are All-Ireland champions. It will bring over two hours of the best Irish traditional music song dance and storytelling, performed by young artists whose mastery of their native culture is internationally acclaimed.

Well known singer and humorist Seán Ó Shea will lead the group on the night.
