In contrast to Forward in Europe, he said the first concern is the danger of a major war, and that the EU was prominent in recognizing independence of Slovenia and Croatia which led to the collapse of Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

He said: “The EU has also been planning a European army secretly and it has also encouraged the crisis in Ukraine in recent years along with the USA and NATO.

“This risks nuclear war with Russia and its allies, clearly.

“There have been several attempts over the past 1,500 years from Justinian and Charlemagne through Phillip 2nd of Spain to Napoleon and Hitler in the middle 20th century to “unite” Europe with the connivance of leading figures in Lutheran and Catholic churches.

“Secondly; the EU is virulently anti-socialist and pro-privatisation; the railways in UK were privatised (except N.Ireland) by a 1990s directive of the European Commission with all the chaos that has led to since.

“The EU forbids any government from seriously helping any national industry with state money as an anti-enterprise activity.

“Third; the free-movement of labour in EU is used to undermine trades union agreed conditions and rights and even to break legitimate industrial disputes, for example at a strike at a refinery in Lincolnshire.

“Fourth; the only people who are sure to lose their jobs in a withdrawal from EU are the MEPs from this country on their huge largely undeserved salaries, apart from the eight billion quid we contribute in subsidies which after pull-out will pay off the whole of our deficit within a few years.

“The MEPs include Nigel Farage (UKIP) also!

“We would not be restricted to travel just as we are not restricted to travel in countries like Australia, USA, New Zealand, India, South Africa etc which are not in ANY trade blocs like the EU with us.

“Fifth; the exports of Britain are growing much faster to countries OUTSIDE THE EU than to those inside.

“Sixth; agricultural subsidies to UK farming could be continued or increased without the CAP protectionism that has helped cause mass poverty in sub-Saharan Africa and the migrant tragedies we see in the Mediterranean Sea.

“Seventh; outside the EU we would be free of the threat from the secretly planned TTIP trade treaty whereby our government potentially would lose ony self-determinatory powers especially if left-wing and well-disposed towards the protection of the working class majority from unrestrained exploitation and the bankers unregulated trickstering or the rampant property speculation we suffer from today.

“Lastly; Since the UK joined the EEC in 1973 we have been totally de-industrialized for example where have all the factories in Lancaster gone?

“We recommend you read the details in the magazine The Democrat the organ of the CAEF for much more detailed information on the case against membership of the failed project of the EU.”
