Toby the tabby is back home with his owners after an absence of many months. He was on his way to a cattery in Garstang when his owners stopped for a break.

They were devastated when Toby jumped from the car and disappeared into open countryside.

His owner Dawn Gibson and her partner Joseph had almost given up hope of finding him when they got the news that he was living near Myerscough College.

Staff had been feeding him and Animal Academy tutor Caroline Bowden helped reunite him with Dawn and Joseph. He has now settled back in at home.

Dawn said: “I was absolutely gobsmacked, shocked, when I got the call he had been found. It’s brilliant to have him back.”
