School pupils from all over the local area are invited to enjoy a day of trying out new and exciting subjects when Lancaster & Morecambe College hold a taster day this week.

Taking place tomorrow, Wednesday July 4, the college will be opening the campus to school pupils who are interested in finding out more about their options after school.

With more than 25 different subjects including; Engineering, Computer Games Design, Animal Studies, Beauty Therapy, and Public Services, there’s plenty to choose from!

The purpose of the event is to give students in Year 10 an idea of what college life is like and what subjects are available at LMC as they prepare to go into their final year at school.

Last year, more than 100 pupils took part and came from as far as Ulverston to experience College life.

Of last year’s event, Lizzy Ware of Queen Elizabeth School said: “I’d like to say thank you to the staff, I am definitely considering studying at the college.

“I enjoyed the tutors and seeing what the college is actually like.

“I feel more confident and happy to work with others and I can now even handle different animals, some of which I never thought I could!”
