Prizes up for grabs at event

An event to raise money for St John’s Hospice takes place at Smokey O’Connor’s in Morecambe on Saturday, August 22.

There will be a karaoke competition with a cash prize for the three top winners, fun casino, slave for the day auction, raffle, tribute act and more.

Raffle prizes include two original paintings, bottles of wines and spirits, £50 high street voucher s and salon vouchers.

An organiser said: “We want to raise what we can on the night because they do such a great job. We are hoping to raise at least £1000.”

Tickets for the event which is between 7pm and 1am cost £5.
