The tired interior has been redecorated with a traditional feel and given new flooring and lighting. The bar area has been reduced in size to allow for a snug area and better flow to the toilets and beer garden.

The ladies and gents toilets have also been redecorated and retiled.

Externally, new signage and lighting has also been installed to improve the pub’s appearance and attract passers-by.

Alan Ackers said: “The John O’ Gaunt has always been a traditional, cask ale, live music venue and it is still very much that – and more! We had a great launch and we received some great feedback.”
