Popular bistro owners say farewell

THE owners of city centre cafe Antony’s Bistro have bid a sad farewell to the business after more than 12 years.

Darren and Lisa Marshall, from Yealand Redmayne, have decided to spend more time with their family after a hectic life running the King’s Arcade cafe.

“A lot of circumstances have led us to make the decision,” Darren, 40, said. “We have two young sons, including one who has special needs, and we decided it was a good time to look at our lives and start doing things for ourselves.

“We tried to sell the business last year but because of the economic climate we just couldn’t give it away, which is really sad.”
