Police chase ends in two arrests in Heysham

Police who arrived at a house in Heysham to arrest two men ended up chasing one of them who had a weapon.

The burglars were found by police using the Find My iPhone app.

Officers went to the house on Hale Carr Lane at 8.15am on Tuesday to make the arrest.

The man who ran from the scene with a weapon was found soon afterwards.

*A 21-year-old man from Heysham and a 17-year-old man from Morecambe were both arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and remain in custody.
