Popular local radio personality returns to the air at Lancaster's community radio station

One of the best known voices in local radio is returning to the airwaves with Beyond Radio.

Tony 'Cooky' Cookson debuts this Friday (February 5) with a brand new show on north Lancashire's community radio station.

Regular listeners to local radio in the Lancaster and Morecambe area will remember 'Cooky' as a presenter with The Bay for almost 20 years.

Now the popular 'Cooky' is back with a weekly three-hour show from noon to 3pm every Friday on Beyond Radio.

Tony said: "I'm really looking forward to joining the team at Beyond Radio.

"I've missed broadcasting to the north Lancashire area and can't wait to be back on the radio again."

Duncan Moore from Beyond Radio said: "It's great to have Cooky back on the radio in the north Lancashire area and we are really pleased that he is joining our team.

Tony also works for Morecambe-based private ambulance firm NW PALS as a driver - taking patients from their homes to hospital for appointments.

NW PALS will be sponsoring Cooky's weekly show on Beyond Radio.
