“Being a military partner and part of a tri-service family I am used to being separated from loved ones. But, I don't live on a military base, so I feel I am sometimes an outsider looking in and I miss the connection it can offer.
“The FSN was created to be a platform between military and civilian life, therefore we wanted to meet military families and ex-military employees and create a support network.

The Mayor of Lancaster, Coun Malcolm Thomas, Mayoress Mrs Tricia Thomas, John O’Neill, manager of Morecambe Bid, and Mal Neill, Morecambe and Heysham British legion, joined Sophie and Adam in the memorial gardens after council staff had installed the bench.
Coun. Thomas said: “It was with great honour that the council was able to assist in installing such a beautiful bench donated by EDF in the town’s memorial gardens adjacent to Morecambe’s Cenotaph, and at such a poignant time of the year.
“This will provide people with a perfect place to sit and remember all those who fought so courageously and gave their lives for their country.”
