Frantic warning to fisherman as tidal bore comes close in Morecambe Bay estuary
Emergency crews warned a man as the Arnside Bore came rushing into the estuary as he fished.
Bay Search and Rescue volunteers raised the alarm over the Bank Holiday weekend after spotting the fisherman at Arnside as the bore chased up the estuary.
They also followed up a false alarm call for a missing walker.
“All ended well thanks to the BSAR team on patrol in the Sherp and Arnside & South Lakes Coastguard Rescue Team.
"Remember dial 999 ask for the Coastguard if you think someone is in difficulty on the coast.”
