Father Christmas says thanks to family for raising funds for Royal Lancaster Infirmary

Louise Phillips and her family in Kendal were given the surprise on Saturday, after Louise was responsible for setting up a virtual Christmas fair which to date has raised more than £11,000 for the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (Neo-Natal Unit, Children’s Ward and A & E Department).
The online fair also proved to be a lifeline for many local independent businesses that were unable to trade due to Covid restrictions.

Hide AdFather Christmas delivered gifts for Louise’s children along with a gift voucher for a family short break at Ouse Bridge Guesthouse, Bassenthwaite.

The voucher was paid for by a number of grateful 'virtual' stallholders, with the venue chosen as it had also had a stall at the online fair and had donated an auction prize.
After Dark Productions, based in Morecambe (who also had a stall at the fair), organised the visit from Father Christmas.
