Eagle eyed residents in Morecambe spotted a deer running through Morecambe on Monday morning.

The early morning sighting of the deer taking in the sunshine was shared on social media.

Alex Milner shared this video on Facebook, saying: "Anyone else see this deer this morning in Morecambe? Took this video on Osborne Road, Morecambe! What a lovely day too.

"Walked outside and had to rub my eyes a few times to make sure it was really there!"

Others said deer had also been spotted near the railway tracks at Schola Green Lane, and at Middleton and near Heysham Golf Club.
