Much-loved music festival returns following reopening of Carnforth pub

After several years away, one of Millhead's much-loved community events is making a welcome return.
Following the reopening of The Nib as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in December, the Nibworth Committee is delighted to announce the return of Nibworth on Sunday August 30.
The return of Nibworth marks another important milestone for the CIC, which reopened the village pub with the aim of preserving it as a thriving community hub and creating events that bring local people together.
Nibworth is a free community music festival taking place from 2pm until 10pm at The Nib in Millhead. The event will bring together local people of all ages for an afternoon and evening of live music, food, drinks and a fantastic community atmosphere.
The festival was once a popular fixture in the local calendar but has not been held for a number of years. The committee hopes its return will reconnect the local community, welcome visitors to the area and create another memorable day for everyone involved.
Throughout the day, donations will be collected in support of St John's Hospice, helping to raise money for the incredible care and support they provide to local families across our community.
The Nibworth Committee is also inviting local businesses to become Founding Live Music Sponsors, helping to fund the live entertainment and support the return of the much-loved event.
There are just 12 sponsorship opportunities available which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Businesses wishing to become a sponsor are encouraged to return their completed sponsorship form by Friday July 31 to ensure they can be included in the event's promotional material.
